About Darlene

An architectural perspective translated into refined interiors and lasting atmosphere.

Studio Darlene Brown was built on the belief that interiors should feel rooted in architecture, informed by context, and shaped to leave a lasting impression.

Portrait of Darlene Brown
Biography

From Las Vegas to Los Angeles to South Florida, the work has always been driven by spatial memory.

Darlene’s formative years in Las Vegas shaped an appreciation for memorable architectural space, drama, and the emotional force of environment.

She earned a BS from Arizona State University and a Master’s in Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles, building a foundation that continues to guide the studio’s approach.

Career chapters across Gensler, Kelly Wearstler, and Simeone Deary Design Group sharpened a perspective that bridges architecture, interiors, and experience-led design.

Current practice

South Florida as home base, with work spanning hospitality, residential, and experience-led interiors.

The studio is based in South Florida and works across hospitality, residential, and select experience-led environments where concept and atmosphere need to feel inseparable.

That perspective is shaped by work with global hotel brands, residential developments, and learning environments that require clarity, coordination, and a highly tuned sense of use.

Career path

A design trajectory that moves through architecture, hospitality, and authored interiors.

Point of view

Three principles that shape every project

Architecture-informed

Interiors are approached as part of a larger spatial order, not separate from it.

Concept-rich

Each project requires a strong idea that can quietly organize atmosphere, circulation, and material choice.

Tailored

The work is shaped to fit the project and the client, not to force every commission into the same visual signature.

Expertise & collaboration

How the studio works

Collaboration model

Darlene works directly with clients and partners from concept through installation. The studio collaborates with architecture firms, brand consultants, and procurement teams as needed. Direct access to the principal is a core commitment.
